I hadn't done a 3D piece in a while, so I put this together to keep from getting too rusty. My copy of Vue isn't working, so I had to settle for a simple Cinema environment.

watereater: That's cute, I can hear the transformers shifting noise as I follow the frames.
Lingmerth: Simple, but effective. Makes you wonder where it is.
Ashton: I love it, simply perfect. The right blend of comedy and appropriateness done with style!

watereater; fun idea, nice how you did those panels. Wonder where the water went.. :)
lingmerth; nice and sneaky. Love the composition, great effect. Not sure about his shadow in the white area.
ashton; pretty original. Nice colors. Think how that gun is hanging there is a bit of a weak point.
Ryoken; Looks good. No experience with 3d tho, no crits. ;/
Wasn't quite feeling this one, so made it quick. The gangly thing is a pain in the ass with a mouse.

Ok in keeping with my increased productivity trend here is my WIP for this weeks theme. It's just a quick pencil concept sketch (approx. 45min.) - again I need to get better at doing more than just sketching and start adding some colors and environments. I took the lazy way out here and just threw down a checkerboard floor so it wasn't just floating in space.
Damn...as I was typing this I also realized I gave it nothing for size comparison. So we don't know if it's nano-techonology eg. microscopic in size... or if it towers above humans. Now after stepping back from it after I posted it... it also doesn't look gangly enough. Ok... if I can get this past a WIP then I'll sort that out.
Brutally honest comments and crits appreciated.:teeth:

Aw shucks, you flatter me Ramonsk8 :)
I see a lot of really cool ideas here, nice work everyone. I think the water fountain observer bot is really clever.
Mambo: Nice work, I like the details you put into the appendages. The floor is on a different plane than the character is though so that the robot looks very precariously balanced. The tiles make me think of a kitchen floor so the robot looks about the size of a small kid to me :p Hope that is what you are looking for in terms of feedback.

Yeah bro thanks... that's exactly what I need. I get so used to looking at my own drawings to be honest...I've got very few if any mates that draw/sketch/paint/concept let alone hand out quality crits... so I need all the input I can get.
Interesting because the scale you perceive isn't at all what I had in mind... sooo that means I need to pay attention to how I'm going about this because I'm missing my mark and not really working to the brief.
Thanks again man. :)

Yo, mambo man, I definitely like your concept here, and hell yeah that mother is gangly, you don't have to worry bout that! As for anything else, the "tile" thing has already been mentioned....but other than that, nice one man:)

Thanks for the kind words bro. Now I just have to get in gear and start getting some of these concepts of the DSG's tighter and more finished. Nice to see there is no shortage of people cranking out good stuff on the site. I better catch up. :)

My First Ca post and second try with my newly acquired Wacom. This site inspired me to try and get back to drawing after years, but oh, man how I'm struggling :)

Hey DSG dudes. My name is Sean and I am back on the forums after a very long uninspired absence, and thought I would do some work in the Daily Sketch Group to shake up my brain juice.
I don't really know how gangly this is, but it's what I came up with:
