Hey all. Here are a several sketches Im doing for a game of sorts. My big problem is right now in my ability Ive reached a leveled off point.(Actually Ive been here a while) My work doesnt seem to be getting better, reguardless of how much I work at it. So in an attempt to get some where Im going to post to this thread as often as possible. If you see ANYTHING that can be improved upon, and I know theres plenty. Tell me! I wanna feel pain on this

If it's advice on design you want.. I'd have to tell you it all looks good.. very technical designs that don't look sci-fi more real and tangable.
The forearm sreen design looks very retro 80's .. it looks good..
you need to work on your light sources and contrast values.. your images are very flat , I'm sure you've knoticed..
I suggest a little research.. since your designs are very real.. look to pics of factories, stations, warehouses, etc..
you can upload researched images and rip the colors...
to practice with black and white set the images to grayscale and rip the gray values with the dropper... referencing will help you with contrast values..

that first pic is an arm? wow, boy was my thinking skewed. must have been too many of these  on my part, hehe
i thought that it as a spaceship or something.
but yeah, the biggest gripe, your drawinds are nice but are also flat. need more life in 'em.

Thx guys. Yeah yall are hitting what Im talking about. My drawings always seem a bit lifeless. Is it contrast and light source Im missing. Maybe detail. Ill admit Im not strong in the lighting department. Keepem coming!

I'd say the main problem would be the light sources. The technical drawings you've done seem to be pretty high quality, but the lighting on the arm isn't great. Work on light sources for a while and see how you improve on that
