cool style, I like the way you shape the forms of the body in a lanky manner. You could work on faces a lil more, most of them tend to have the same kind of nose and facial structure. Keep at it.

Aaah, I don't know why more people comment on your work. It's great.
These both are standing out for me 1 (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=195633&stc=1&d=1188676017) 2 (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=195632&stc=1&d=1188675997)

Show more digitals, I like them.

And yes, some heads look a little bit off or weird, but maybe you want them to be like that?

It is truely great! The anatomies and proportions are a teensy bit off, but nothing that catches the eye.
Like it pretty much :)

very interesting eccentric form - increasingly solid. Work on volumizing in your value work.

wow chief some great stuff in here! very expressive. One thing I noticed though is that your arms are often too long and thin and the hands are too small. If you're practicing thats great just keep it up you're already far better than me :P

Wow, not bad at all! You have a nice, loose feel to your drawings. Good gestures. Your proportions tend to be a bit off, and you could use some work on anatomy and form, but you'll get there. I suggest studying the Loomis books (http://acid.noobgrinder.com/Loomis) and doing a lot of life-drawing, whether in a classroom, cafe, park, or mirror. Keep it up!

Sweet stuff in here. Really like where you're going with this. Especially the Bridgman meets Egon Schiele vibe. Keep it up!

A couple of tips. Think in gestural silhouettes first, then do the detail. The silhouette/gesture... that's the expression, the feeling, the emotion portrayed visually. This goes for the body as well as body parts, especially hands. I think of all the shapes on figures as sort of like ghosts in a disney movie. Just pure expressive gesture. Once I get the gesture right, I figure I'm halfway home.

On the other hand, if you think of a hand as a bunch of fingers connected to a palm, like a erratic spider, hands are always gonna cause trouble. If you think of them as whole things with an expressive shape, they will become easier and better looking. While you're at your Bridgman, check out his discussion about hands in 100 Hands.

Thanks for your nice comment on my thread!

Best,
kev

The Curehead - thanks a lot man! Hehehe I've not seen that movie but if I do I'm sure to recognize it :p

kev - thanks so much for stopping by!!! It means a lot hearing from a pro like you. Egon Schiele and Bridgeman... Hey I love 'em both ;) What you say about hands is very, very interesting- and so helpful.

I haven't been updating- or drawing- as much as I'd like... *sigh* ; here's a little watercolor I managed to whip off.

to be honest, I realized I wasn't having much fun drawing anymore - I was so caught up in trying to get good technically (which is not going to happen overnight) that I forgot to draw what I wanted to be drawing. The reason I like drawing is because you can put down what's in your imagination, and of course you need to be technically good to do it justice, but if you just draw for the sake of drawing, and not as a way to put down an idea, it's pretty boring.

aw, i know that too good and i also have to say that i lost having fun for some time, same as you said… but you know what to do against it.

anyways your stuff is still interesting but to be very honest, not that interesting as what youve shown us in the beginning of your thread here.

im excited what you will show us with your regained fun when drawing :P

good luck
-Nick
