Some more character concepts for The Opera. These are kind of strange for me, because they were drawn at about HALF the size they appear here. Really tiny. I usually draw way bigger, but Im running out of paper/space. :/ Need a new sketchbook.
I'm gonna start a serious formalwear study; I used to try and compensate for my lack of ability to make clothing look realistic (without being bland) by adding tons of wrinkles and shit, as if it made it more interesting. In actuality, I just was uncomfortable leaving simple lines. Im trying to get past that now.

Another Yakuza, this one based on the legendary Takakura Ken, a famous japanese actor who starred in countless black and white gangster films.
