"you were eaten by the grue"

sone_one: i have a feeling you didn't use any reference there? it'll be hard to learn without them

yes youre right.... i'vent found any good ones, till i got impatient... just wanted to paint and get down the idea

(its my first "painting" without a drawing first... coming from a drawing background, its quite hard to get the painting approach)

Sone: seems like youre using the blend tool a lot.
Maybe try some different ways of blending, like low opacity, or crosshatching?

final here might be like 10 minutes. there was another 10 of brain fart false-starts that you can see in the .wpe file here (http://www.valleydweller.com/netsketches/dsg_deadend.wpe)

Lothlorien- your style is a great relief to the technical standards we usually make ourselves uphold!

i think i was inspired by one of davi's past dsg's.
just a note.. the robot and the grunge brushes arn't mine. i was just playing around with some custom photoshop brushes i found online.

I was inspired by my years of playing quake 2. It didn't turn out exactly the way I thought, though.
