While the angle is a great idea, the piece needs shading and the hands need work. Both look a bit big and the right hand looks strange. HOWEVER, there is nothing wrong with this as a basic sketch. Study your hand, and its scale in relationship to your arm, and try again. Nothing wrong with filling in the face, either. This is a good start.

Yeah i knew the hands were off, it's been a long time though
I just bought a book to help me out a lil, plus i've been doodling all day, kinda tired when I did it. I'm afraid of the face though cause i'm having a hard time with features and angles, gotta practice, I have some other paintings in there as well, much different, thanks for the opinion, keep em coming!

Your paintings are all rather cute and well executed. The frogs especially. Don't be too nervous about filling in the face, just jump in and do it! An anatomy book is usually a good tool for getting an eye for anatomy, life drawing is, in my opinion, better. Go to a park, sketch people at random. Maybe you could try the DSG, or start a daily sketchbook. Your work is not bad at all, and most people here are friendly and offer constructive criticism. There are many books out there that are handy to have, a lot of them really depend on what type of art/illustration you want to do. Please keep posting more!
