Harry Potter Sculpture

Hi There,

This was a sculpture that I produced based whilst working on the concept design for EA Games. The design for this was produced by our senior concept artist Ross Dearsley and was taken directly from the Harry Potter fiction rather than being influenced by the movies and the chosen actors. The sculpture itself was produced in Super Sculpey, then sanded and primed. To paint it I used Windsor and Newton Alkyds which are a quick drying oil then allows you enough time to blend the colours whilst maintaining the vibrancy of Acrylics.

Thats really cool. I love the cartoonish style. I have never been a big potter fan but this a really cool sculpt. The paint job is excellent.

Your website is great too. I categorically hate all sites with sound on them, but in this case, the sound is actually a nice touch and not annoying. As to the layout, I like how each section has its own distinct design, but they all fit together. The sketchbooks and 3D environment ones are my favorites. The only thing I think you might change is your little "back to previous screen" button. It's so unobtrusive I almost didn't notice it was there.

The sculpt is great and the paint job is top notch.

At first I was thinking the fingers need to be more rounded but then I noticed the angled features of the nose, chin and ears. I can now see the fingers fit very well with the style.

I'm a massive harry potter fan and the redesign is awesome,i cant get over the detail in the folds in the jeans- :)
