Hi everyone!

Too humble to post much these days.. But I'm doing my best to improve and learn from others as well as to share my thoughts.

So, scary as I think this is, here are samples of my latest paintings along with a few b&w book illustrations from last year. The colored ones are freetime paintings, just for fun and learning. I really enjoy painting environments these days, maybe because I've grown to love nature so much..

The book illustrations are somewhat cronological chapter illustrations, some are left out though.

I hope you'll enjoy them, and comments are appreciated!

Here goes-

I can literally smell the fog in the first painting. That is really one of those pieces that you dive into and loose yourself.
I've seen a lot of your stuff in these two years but this is the best so far.
Congrats my friend, you have taken me away from my desk for a moment.
Best regards,

Your enviros leave me breathless. Great render style, brush strokes, light, textures, and mood it's all at great level.
Anatomy needs more work, imHo, seems that you don't sketch thinking the skeleton first but directly thinking the final effect. In example, the lapdancer in the last work needs some rotation on the left foot and the hands does'n works well. Also the vertebral column seem too much linear...they loose the sensual effect.
Cheers, this is Just my opinion, Daryl.

sorry totally out of topic and bad taste. slap myself for that

thanks for sharing! the first 2 pic sort of make me understand why yoda chosen degoba as his retirement planet, there are so many scenic spots that he didnt show luke, fearing he would stay! and my fav, the weird gravity pic!

Yeah, I saw these on your portfolio site. Killer work! I love the style found in here (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=186087&stc=1&d=1187206521)

Now, im not one for symbolism, but I can stare at this painting for an hour and just reflect. Keep it up!

.cheers

The colored ones all look great, but I'm seeing errors in proportion on the (iron mill?) piece. The WW2 scene I'm guessing- looks great!

DARYL, I'm glad that you appreciate my comment.
Sure, anatomy it's one of the tricky things, but you have great skills, I'm sure that you improove every day.
Anyway let me repeat: environments, colors, render and composition are absolutly great! I'v got many thing to learn from you.

First of all, You've got a wonderful sense of value. Bravo.

Second, I do have a few comments and critiques I noticed in the last image. The woman's Right hand is awkward. It seems a bit long or disjointed. Her pose restricts her left hand and it doesn't seem well positioned. Also, I am confused on the ground, is it suppose to be reflective? If it is, where is the reflection of her heal?

Otherwise, love the expressions and style of all your pieces thus far. ;)

michaelh, BOOM!, Thalion, Theo, jilted_one, ICH: Thanks so much!

Justin Oaksford: Thanks man. Yeah, I think I know what you mean with the iron mill pic. Some characters and their scale I reckon :)

voodoochile: Thanks a ton man, means a lot to me and you know I love your style!

MorteM: Thanks, glad you like! I recently landed a work as a concept artist at one of the larger game companies in Sthlm!

Mr.Delicious: Hey, thx a bunch! The book is not out yet and I don't know if the title has been set either. As I didn't know how far away it was to get published I wanted to show the paintings before they grew too old :)

se7enthcin: Thanks for your constructive critique! Like ICH mentioned and as I've come to realize that pic has it's fair share of problems but I'm greatful nonetheless!

Yannertastic: Hey, thanks so much man! A fan of your work, compliment of yours means a lot!!

Thanks all!

Beautiful work! I really love the first three especially, nice compositions and what lovely detail! ~ how much research and preparation goes into these? Do you prefer to do environments? It really looks like it from your work. how'd you get so good? I've been working as a digital artist for the last year but can't even approach the stuff you are doing here. Thanks for sharing and don't be humble, we need more!

Sounds great! But what studios are located in Stockholm? I only know about Starbreeze and I thought they were working from Uppsala.
