i'm moving to sarasota. going to ringling in a year. i was wondering if number 1: even though i am not attending the school yet can i still go to some of the FEWS sessions? number 2: anyone interested in getting together once a week or something for a sketch group? there is a post in here for an Austin sketch group and i felt left out. if anyone is interested, let me know and maybe we can set something up? ok thanks

id like to know if non-ringling students can attend FEWS as well.. i wouldnt see why not as long as youre willing to put in your share of the model fees..

found out non-students can attend FEWS which is awesome!! so i'm totally gonna check out some of those as well as spend some time visting the campus. i'm wondering if any of the founders of CA will pay a visit to their alumi school? now that would be exciting. ok. thanks!:p

last yaer on portofolio day jason and andrew went down there.. I wish I ahd known earlier so I would have went. Im really hoping they do it again this year!

graduates stop by all the time... usually to recruit... I'm sure I'll go back within the next 2 years or so

in jason and andrew's case it was partly fews that brought them there... to do demos etc

c'mon... please?? it seems like the one in austin does just fine... why wouldn't anyone here in sarasota want to do one? considering ringling is here and such. is it beacuse of the FEWS class. i'm thinking like maybe get together on a saturday around 5 until 9 pm or something, drinks, music tv or something. maybe rent out a room and we can all draw brainstorm and learn. but best of all draw!! oh yeah and network. if this thread is getting annoying, please tell me to stop:D

well, i'm still trying to put something together, it doesn't help being new to the area and not knowing how the hell to set this up :D any suggestions are welcome. i'm guessing hopefully the next time i post i can give a date and time. :confused: we'll see

look i've got to talk to my apartment people, BUT and that's a big BUT... we may be able to have a small (12? people) get together at the clubhouse of the apartments where i live. we got digital cable there, pool tables, swimming pool, basketball court (indoor) and stuff, nice big couches and chairs to sit and draw on. anyway... we can bring drinks and snacks and we need to not get too rowdy otherwise forget it. details to follow, i'll let you all know something asap. in the meantime i need a head count. take care,
