The folks in the CA chat told me I should start up one of these so they wouldn't have to look at DA ;p So this first post, just to get things rolling, is a bit of the older stuff.
Poses are referenced from various artworks and photos I found on the internet. Terrible habit, I know. I need to start keeping a posebook or something.
I hope you all enjoy nevertheless ;)

welcome to the sb forum :) and for the record, EVERYONE looks at photos/other art for reference... even the pros... so don't feel guilty for trying to better your art!! Having photo reference is the next best thing to drawing from life, after all. :tihi:

I need to start keeping a posebook or something.
That'd be cool. Really good idea.

Gimme more art to view. I'll be watching.

Glad you got this going! Dig the WoW piece and of course your bandaged magic character. Here's something to consider about her design - the ratio of bandaged parts to unbandaged parts is about 50/50. Play with that ratio a bit - more bandages than exposed magic could help to draw more attention to the few parts of her that are "leaking" through, and less bandage than magic might show how difficult her powers are to contain. Nit picks, but things to think about :D

Yea, really digging that bandaged character :} Steph has some great suggestions. The floating orbs around the head almost look too centralized, unless the head was intended to be their source. But you can probably play that up a bit more to add interest and movement. You have some awesome coloring skills too. Give us more!

Kickass quote in your sig, btw! :P

Thanks everyone ;) I'm gonna definately try to update more. I happen to be an incredibly slow worker, but that's one of the things I plan to work on.

Steph and Mofongo: Thanks billions. That one happens to be my favorite character design to date, and I plan on drawing a lot more of her. I'll take you suggestions into account <3 The things around her head are actually runes, and they do orbit ;D

As for today, I drew this today after thinking about a convo I was having with someone in the CA IRC chat about how there are pudding cups in my fridge from at least 2 years ago, but I don't want to throw them away, because at this point it'd be something like mass genocide. I took a picture of the cap to get the logos on their right ;) *cheater*

The other one is a bunch of designs for shiney little critters I plan on putting in a new picture. They're inspired by an anime a friend of mine told me I'd like (and I do, it's exactly the kind of pretty type of anime, or anything, that I like) called Mushishi. ;p

Thought I'd put in some life drawings from not too long ago that I just got back. Sorry for the bad quality. I dont own a scanner XP I used oil pastel sticks on these, they're one of my favorite tools <3
Also, there's some little sketches I did by drawing an animal and then changing it into different creatures. There's a Giant Anteater (My favorite of that being the one with the biggy wings. It's cute <3), and a banded linsang which is only okay really. I just thought the picture in my mammal book looked like a hairless striped cat. It's not, but I wanted to draw it anyway. There's a critter also that uses parts from both the other too...but that's kinda meh. Last but not least, a muscle study I did that totally creeps me out. Enjoy!

Good start here. Like davi said, I like the golden image on the upper rght in the first post. It has a nice ambiance to it. Also, since you've started life drawing/studies, continue with that. Some of the people I talk to regularly on here are always harping on me about it and I never follow through. So take this and their advice and do as much as possible.

Keep at it and i'll keep an eye out for ya
