Here's something I'm working on.
I don't have a tablet, so this is all done with my trusty mouse, but it makes anything hairy (moustache, hair, etc) a bit of a pain to do. If you've got any tips or whatnot, either related to hair, 'facebuilding' or otherwise, please share! ^_^

not bad for a mouse, but the edge of his face is REALLY rigid. it's got a really harsh transition to the background and it doesn't actually look like flesh. cover up the left edge of his face and it looks great though.

Is looking good. As for the hair, you might wanna creating a brush to make some hairs, that will help you.

A good start, very good for being done using a mouse...I remember well how blimmin' tricky that can be, especially when as you've mentioned it comes to the finer details where a steady hand is a must. Nicely done.

So sorry I'm this late getting back to you, 't was out of my hands :)

I haven't got an update for you this far, but I'll look into making some brushes, then; maybe I'll figure out how to be efficient with custom brushes while I'm at it :D
