I am currently involved in leading a new indie game development project (currently named "Bank Heist" but likely to change). I am also the lead programmer. At this time, the project requires freelance artwork. The budget is tight, but I am open to working with the artist to determine fair project fees and payment terms.
The topic of the art is 1920’s and 1930’s era cops and robbers. I am looking for roughly ten (10) background images (1024x768 pixels), thirty (30) character portraits (256x256 pixels), thirty-two (32) action images (512x512 pixels), and twenty four (24) object images (128x128 pixels). All images will be static and do not require any animation. Additional images may be called for later in the development cycle, so I expect to pay for those independently of this initial project.
Background images will depict static, key locations in the game world. Each character portrait, males and females, will depict a caricature of a period stereotype (for example: robbers, lawyers, dirty cops, and alluring women to name a few). The action images should depict a scene where a generic character is performing an action (for example: a robber stealing an old lady’s purse or a lawyer arguing in court with the judge). The object images will depict common everyday objects for purchase in the game (for example: cars, bombs, guns, etc).
It is important the style of all images be cohesive and exist within the same game world. I am open to an artist’s interpretation; as long as it matches the intended audience (males aged 13+).
If you have the talent and time to pick up this project within the next few months, email me at “buggagames@gmail.com”. Please include your availability, rates, and let me know where I can see samples of your work.
Thanks for your interest.
