Color select question

I am just playing around with the Painter 8 demo and I am liking it much better than the older versions. Anyway, what I am wondering is everytime I select a color (either from the color wheel of death or from on the canvas) it comes up as the background color and then you have to switch it to use it. Is there wa way to change it so that you don't have to do that extra color change switch? Thanks in advance ...

Have you tried clicking on the foreground color swatch?

I have to do it after every time I select a color .. so yes. It just seems to be going to the background color by default ...

Hi,

Try clicking the front color square (Primary Color), then picking the color from your image or by using the Colors palette.

If the rear square (Secondary Color) is highlighted (clicked), when you pick a color that's the color that will be changed until you click the Primary Color square again.

I guess it somehow got clicked and I didn't realize it when I was fiddling .. Will have to take a deeper look into it soon
