I've had Painter for a while and usually use it to do sketches and layouts for ideas to be taken into Illustrator to be "vectorized". Lately I've been itching to get loose with Painter and take advantage of the other tools, so I sprung and bought an Intuos3 6x11 and a 6D Art pen. I've read a previous post about the pros and cons of the 6D art pen, I personally think it's sweet. Now there's a problem. It only works on the left side of the tablet in Painter. I checked the rotation readings in the Wacom diagnostic and it reads correct all over the tablet. I fired up Photoshop CS2 and set Angle jitter to "rotation" on a calligraphy brush and it works perfect all over the tablet. Go back into Painter IX.5 and it retards on the right side of the tablet again. This is obviously not a hardware problem. Anyone else experienced this same issue? Any solutions? I am totally not giving Painter up and I'm definitely not upgrading until I squeeze a little more use out of my current version.

I have the same problem in painter X. another nasty thing is that I can't start rotating it partway through a stroke, I have to rotate it FIRST, and then move it. and it only works in the top left corner. The real weirdness is the feedback telling me how it's rotated works fine in painter all over the tablet. it actually snaps back to the default orientation as soon as I put it down.

hey, I fixed the problem on mine, so maybe this will help you: It turned out that my old tablet drivers were interfering with my current ones, but it only shows up once in the add/remove programs dialog. I had to uninstall the whole thing and reinstall. after that, the pen worked beautifully.

Thanks for replying to my post, I just checked it today and your solution totally worked, I still had drivers loaded for the original Intuos. Now I can stop leaving my 6D pen in the carousel with the rest of the retired pens and pencils. Drinks on me! :teeth:
