Hi there folks! It's really cool to see so much cool stuff being post up here everyday and just makes me feel like i'm really lazy.Been lurking around here for quite some time now and i just felt like throwing a few of my stuff here too.. I'll start off with some older stuff first and i'll update the later ones once i have "time". Y'all know how it's like when you have a full time job right? Lol....Hope you guys enjoy it!!

Nice concepts in here! The head gear the first couple'a guys are sporting is great- knightly, but has a fantasy element to it, as well. Love the last character, also- the huge gloves, the power stance, and the perspective you used on the bird makes it very interesting to look at. Hope you keep sharing!

Very interesting concepts. I particularly like the guy in armor with the large sword, and the mermaid-type creature.

whoa that is some nice concept art...
keep it up man you have some great line quality and some very cool ideas
i especially like the mermaid, very nice detail and rendering
Also it might be beneficial to do some anatomy because in that last one the guys legs are way too long, and some awkward arm positions in others...
Update your sketchbook a few times and I see some stars in your sketchbooks future
but ya nice artwork and it would be cool if you could stop by my SB some time, maybe I can rub off of some of that crisp clean rendering you have :)

A great talent has passed away recently, Glen Angus. Honestly, i'm not very familiar with this great master but of course who does not know Glen-Victory Girls, about lil Ted and stuff. I just feel so sorry can cant express enough a lost to us all artists around the world. God bless his soul and his family. I believe his spirit will always be among us watching over. Glen, you will always be remembered and will be missing you..

i dig the color studies, but i think the proportions on the woman are a bit off. also, on your last robot sketch, the big slab above the knee on the right side looks sort of weird and impractical. do you just do character/hardware design or environments too?

Cool, strong and inspiring concepts. Also I think that the graphic designs (logo etc) gives them a nice finished look. Did you draw those spaceship thumbs all at once as a developing process, or are they a collection of previously drawn thumbs?

Notspecialist - I agree with most of the stuff you mentioned. Some people did point that out to me before when they saw it. Thanks anyways. I always try to make myself draw all sorts of stuff, being it industrial designs/ characters/ environments but self confest.. i dont have much environments but i'll post them up later and i did plan to tell myself to do more environments sometime soon too..

Tmza Thanks for checking out my sketchbook. Those thumbs are done in just 2 seperate pages. I was just experimenting with shapes and just wanted to keep my head busy as well. This is also a general process i go about doing any concepts, just quickly grab a pen and block out as much interesting shapes as possible before i draw a more finalised lineart.

Now for a quick update! Here are some characters with a different type of stroke i would say. I completely drew this in photoshop which is not how i usually work but just exploring how it's like sketching digitally. Saves a hell lot of time and i i can quickly drop in some rough colours as you can see on the first piece. Thats all for now.... gotta go back to work. I see you like Feng, so here is my little crit. Some pix looking to hard like Feng, not rly the designs, more the rendering, the little points and so on. but that's my opinion. I will just say you have a big potencial, and some stuff have your style, so go your way. keep it up! *stars*

ZweiDee- Thanks for the crit and i understand what you meant. Feng is a big influence to my work but actually so are the other masters.. Yoji Shinkawa, Masamune Shirow, so many.. That's why i have so many different sort of stuff too.. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not but i'm always attracted to new and different styles.. Lyno- Inspiration? wow... thats a big question for myself too.. lol! can't give you a specific source but it's almost like everything i see inspires. I know it sounds general but that's what it is. I look at lots of artworks from the japanese too and i'm a cyberpunk fan. My fav artists are like, Yoji Shinkawa, Masamune Shirow, Tsutomu nihei, rakgajet, Takayuki Takeya (Sculptor). Thats for the japanese side. lol... hope it will help :) About detailing, Honestly my stuff are not very detailed at all. I've seen more detailed stuff but some are overkilled by details so we should know how to balance detailing in our artwork.. To me, detailing takes lots and lots of observation. Stuuf around us, environments, whatever you can lay eyes on because it's better if you can create details that look functionable,logical and practical to be there. (design wise). Functionable details speaks louder in my opinion than to just drop in all sorts of weird elements might just end up looking like a mess and viewers can't comprehend what was visualised. Thats my opinion on detailing and inspiration, hope it helps and if there are any offended by what i wrote i'm sorry but i meant no offend. Have a nice day! :)

Thx Rezeroth, I'm reading some books right now and I must say it helps me to get inspiration :) . But like you said, you can get inspiration from anything, but i'ts just hard for me to draw things like bottles, knives, heads, ... on a sorcerer for example, but thanks for the tips and the artists names, very helpfull!

I mostly scan my ink sketches.. seldom work comlpletely digitally as i'm not very used to the wacom. I can pull of better lines and curves traditionally.. but i'm working on my digital skills too :)

StevenR- I majored in Digital Animation... not so directly related to Concept Art. It was a lot of my own initiatives to practice drawing and cncpt art. :) Learned a lot from Artbooks, Friends, The web... In college i pretty much learn more stuff about film studies, 3D softwares, Animation sense/principles.. so on. :)

The blood elf was a collab with Calyx.. :D

Rezeroth: Absolutely great stuff. So strong. Love the robots, transformer. Man, I got days worth of inspiration:) Seriously great designs and you are really strong with perspective and creating memorable characters. Would like to see more enviros though. Love the color combinations you put out.

This is a great sketchbook, Razeroth. Your robot/vehicle design skills are extremely strong, and the designs are attractive and fun to look at. And, somewhat surprisingly for a guy who seems to primarily do hard-surface designs, your soft-surface designs--your characters--are really good as well. The work you're doing with Alchemy is inspiring. I downloaded that program, and I need to spend some more time on it. There are a lot of things to explore on it! "Creaturehead" is a very cool image, and a nice creature design. I like its mouth and all the craggy bones and cordlike muscles. The way the horns are emerging from the back of its head is kind of flattening, though.
The image of the Death Night is awesome. Great character design and color scheme.

Yea Alchemy just takes a lil gettin used to but its a rather open ended software to me so there's no one good way to do it..theree's just so many ways to do it and we just prolly need to find a way we like to work.. lol.but great for experimenting with shapes which im sure you're already aware of..lol.. Yea the creature horns.. even some of its teeth on the lower jaw looks rather flat..lol. Thanks for noting :D

I like the designs you've got here. I haven't heard of this alchemy program but it looks like your pulling some pretty cool stuff out of it. I also like your not-so-realistic rendering style, especially on the Red Drake. Thats probably my favorite of your recent postings.
