Hello,
I work for a video game company and am looking outside for a concept artist to help with some character and environment designs for a video game that I am developing. This is a project that will be pitched internally and you will be credited for all your work. Unfortunately I dont have a budget so I am looking for someone that is cool with doing charity work ;)
If you are interested, please send me an email including a link to some of your prior work to daveraps@hotmail.com.
Thanks!
Dave

It doesn't take that long to find the non-paying jobs subforum (http://conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=44).

Two queries:
How can you work for a video games company and yet how no budget for the game? That doesn't make sense unless you're doing the work outside of your job, if so, the company you work for doesn't come into until the actual pitch. If it's being pitched internally why should an artist work for only credit if the resulting work is going to be sold by the company?
Also charity work kind of implies work being done for an actually charity. Asking for a freebie doesn't make it charity work.

My plan is to one day be a producer. Currently I have a game concept document, but in my position I have learned that a pitch doesnt go a very long way without the visuals. If I could produce excellent work like I've seen from people here I would, but alas I wasn't blessed with that skill so I'm looking for help.
By charity of course I mean charity for me, just another way of saying free I guess, sorry to confuse you. I have the resources within my company to use whatever I need to accomplish my end goal, which is to produce a mock video demonstrating some concepts from my game design. However, since I am doing this on my own accord outside of my regular job, I do not have a budget. Now yes if said game was greenlighted I would absolutely recommend whoever helped me with concept art to be hired on to concept for the whole game, so there is potentially a chance of some money down the road.
It is a big project and I'm just looking for a little help.
