how do you hold the pen when using the palette knife brush? i cant seem to find a comfortable way to hold it and make it go the directions i want. a little instruction? anyone?

The strokes you used for the background are excellent. I like the strong horizontal strokes verses the sweeping vertical strokes. They really bring life and movement to this portrait.
