Putting an image next to the thread...

I have a sketchbook thread on here, and I noticed that in the sketchbook section most people have a thumbnail of a drawing/painting next to the link with the thread name. How do I set that up? I can't figure it out.

use the attatchment manager to attatch an image on the first post of the thread it should show up as the thread avatar :)
