I'm on the lookout for my very first drawing board, so i have no prewious experiences.

Should i buy a cheap one just to get started or should i buy a more expensive one? I've been looking at Wacom graphire classic 6a (which has been described as "too small to draw on"), and Wacom intuos3 A5 (the more pricey one)

i have at the moment a very short budget (250£), and it's about 75£ for the cheapest one. For the more expensive it's 217£

There are a lot more expensive drawing boards than these two though...like 294000000£ for a prö one >:D

What do you guys think? i just need a little push towards the right decicions and my conclusion is not limited to these two wacoms listed above :bashful:

There are many threads like this one. Search for more info.

The intuous3 8x6 (A5) is a good choice. You could also go for the bigger model (12x8 / A4), but which one to choose is up to personal preference. The bigger model allows you to use your arm more, yet is harder to carry with you.

True, there are many threads, but my two cents on this is: I don't think you should worry too much about how small the tablet is. I used a tiny one years before jumping up to my 6x8 Intuos. While the bigger one IS better, remember, you can zoom in to the image you're working on as much as you want, so even just using wrist motion is enough to get long lines. Also, it will give you a good start making the cognitive leap of "looking here, drawing there" that's key to doing digital art.
