This is fantastic! I like all your work, but as a huge comic nerd I especially enjoy your stuff from that genre. Rogue looks perfect, Wolverine is almost as good, but I think something about his left eye is just a tad off. The third guy (is it Archangel or Iceman?) looks a bit nonchalant in my opinion. Wolverine appears pissed(as always), Rogue seems determined, and the last guy just looks bored. This is great work overall.:D

the foreshortening on rogues right arm isnt working--her hand may be too small--the angle looks akward
something about wolverines foreshortening isnt 100% successful either
well.. maybe its not the foreshortening ...maybe it feels like hes looking off teh page to the right but his hands/claws are coming at us---this seems akward.
i find archangels pose really weird. hes lounging and gettin some R &R while his teammates are facing death in battle--his expression is indifferent
i think the bG could be stronger. possibly changing the directions of the lines could enforce teh line of action, and perspective that the heroes are coming from.
also to me--this feels liek a underpainting. theres alot of sketchy stuff that gets lost in the "multiply" layer style coloring. have you tried other ways of painting your work? hmmm...actually maybe thats not the prob. maybe its the colors. i think the bg could be less intense and loud and you could put more emphasis on the characters. i think it could use more contrast too.
i m not trying to comlpetely dog on you, im giving you an honest crit cus i really like your work, keep it up!!!!-ty
edit: i played with the image a bit. i increased the contrast. gave teh BG an overlay layer to subdue it a bit. and did a layer on top of characters but left their heads and wolvies hands the focus and untouched ( except for a little highlighting) this image has better contrast but it doesnt really look like your style :( i dont know ...what do you think?

The background guy is Cannonball :]
Hehe, I like the new version except that the clothes and boots are shiny! Crits like compliments are welcomed.

"Crits like compliments are welcomed."
UNless im misunderstanding--- you dont want real crits? oooooookay. i promise i wont ever give you another crit
personally i would be grateful if someone took the time to offer an honest reaction...but thats just me:rolleyes:

I'm guessing Redmond meant it as: Thanks for your crits, like compliments they are always welcomed.
In any case, wicked work guys, amazing pencils Red!

Yes, that's just what I meant J May, thank you. :]
Tyboogie: I think you've read too much into my comment when it was just meant to mean just what it said. I did appreciate your reply immensly, it's always good to see a different interpretation. Some like coloring that is more contrasted and some less. I do read every comment. And I appreciate them all. I mean, I like critiques and I like pats on the back as well, is that so wrong? *sob*

See the problem is the lack of more proper grammer in that sentence.
If you would have put "Crits, like compliments, are welcomed" or better yet "crits, as well as compliments, are always welcome" Im sure he would have undertood better.
Now that we've all learned a very important lesson, lets move on.
My thoughts are wolverine does not look mad enough. I think a very quick fix would be to have his irises looking more upword; just put a little white under them so that the iris doesnt touch the lower eyelid.

ok --sorry--my bad
your short response and my misunderstanding of the comment got me a little heated. I thought the twenty minutes i put into critiquing/responding was in vain. but i was wrong. again my mistake....
hhehheh--nard cleared it up (thx). its funny how a small thing like grammar can shift the tone/structure of a sentence
