So young and eager to learn. I wish I was smart of enough to realize how important studying was at your age, and had a resource like this site to come to. Well Panda, I suggest this (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=53517) thread to everyone. Tom here is a real genius with color, his sketchbook on the site speaks to that. It's definitely a good read, and there's alot of helpful exercises in there...
Other than that, check out this (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=90377) link, here... there's a ton of threads to get familiar with, general site FAQ. Read it for sure... welcome to CA, enjoy... learn, grow, blossom you little flower.

the sooner you force yourself to do anatomy studies, and lots of them, the better. seeing as how 99% of all crits at least mention anatomy issues here, it will just give you a head start so people dont nag you too much. :blahblah:
welcome cap'n! :yayca:
Now go start a sketchbook thread! :D

The best advice I think I can give you now is to stay on this site!
Don't leave CA.org! Stay here, keep looking, keep motivated and keep drawing. :yayca:

Trust me, they know what they're talking about. I'm the same age, and trying to get better as well, and everything they say is a golden nugget of advice. Seedling's links in particular are infamous for their helpfulness.

There should just be a link when you sign up that pops up and takes you to Seedling's threads and a special message from Kevin Ferrara:
"Hello, and welcome, don't forget to study your Bridgeman drawing books!"
:) Also, a link gets private messaged to you "DON"T END UP LIKE THESE PEOPLE"

Start with the basics: Figure drawing, anatomy, perspective.
Download the Andrew Loomis books (http://acid.noobgrinder.com/Loomis) and READ them.
