Hey, I've just started work on this fire angel idea.
I have no idea what sort of thing she should be wearing. I have a pose for the rest of her, its just in a sketch layer that I forgot to switch to visable before I saved so let me know if its handy to look for costume ideas.

I've had to shrink the image a tad from the original size because the 800x800 original was too big to attach apparently.

Also, any suggestions as far as what I've done thus far would be uber helpful as I've only been using my wacom tablet now for about a week and am very new to digital artwork (am a pen and paper girl usually!)

Ta in advance.

Looks like a good start. I suggest that you try to frame it so that the entire figure is visible to showcase her costume.

Darn, knew I couldn't get away with being lazy.
As you can see my sketch layers are very well, sketchy so if you still can't make out the pose please let me know and I'll do a paint over to try and give a better idea.

At the moment I am either thinking long and flowing or small and skimpy, but I am really indecisive about these things!

Hm, looks pretty cool :)

I'd say if she's a fire angel/goddess, go with long 'n' flowing. If she's a fire spirit/demon, go for short 'n' skimpy.

Just my 2 cents :teeth:

In the end I decided that she was a vengeful angel, sent down to hell for consorting with the devil to bring about chaos in heaven. It sounds corny but thinking up a story to this character helped me to come to a decision on what she should wear.

I'm going for royal battle gear (sort of long dress v armour). I have never done this sort of thing on photoshop before so all hints and tips appriciated.

Here is the sketch up of what I think will be the costume. Again, not too late if you think this is a huge mistake.

well, the costume isn't completed yet. can't make much out from your linework thus far; and since its a costume design, we are going to need to see from the waist down also.

its a good start but more is needed.
