This might be disturbing for some of you but someone created this computer mouse out of a real mouse! Using a taxidermied mouse, the electronic parts were inserted into its body and it is functional like a computer mouse except for the fury part.

The original, 100% work-safe page, complete with instructions, is here (http://www.instructables.com/id/EM1O9XJF0YPF7M5/).
And for those who missed it, here's the compubeaver (http://yourpsychogirlfriend.com/beav/).

Whoa! With Compubeaver and Realmouse Mouse, they just need another rodent for the monitor! Like Bunnitor!

Am I the only one not enjoying these? It reminds me too much how we trivialise stuff and these fucking Chinese animals snuff videos (squash). Ugh.

egerie, did you read the "about" page on the compubeaver site? The issues you raise are actually part of the thought process behind the piece.

Wait... so how dose compubeaver bypass the issue of cooling the CPU?
I mean it dosent seem like she removed all the foam inside the beaver, wouldnt this cause the CPU to easily over heat?
She also fails to warn users of this tutorial that older taxidermy mounts and some nicer recent ones contain arsenic to prevent insect infestations.

as my ipod, and to navigate the menu's all you do is thumb the Cornea around just like you do with a regular ipod, and plug your usb's etc into the optic nerve at the back, simple. Steve Jobs would probably approve (fits the traditional colour scheme too)...
