Barkhor street is surrounding Jokhang temple, shops are located at both sides of the street and it is one the famous tourist attractions in Lhasa. In early morning, people began to walk surrounding the Jokhang temple at Barkhor street. They walked in same clockwise direction. Some of them carried a metal spinning wheel, some held a wooden necklace and some carried stuffs they need at work. It eventually became interesting scenery to a tourist (me), to observe for entire morning.

Jokhang temple was built probably in 642. And is home to about 255,000 inhabitants and, at an altitude of approximately 3,650 m (11,975 ft), is one of the highest cities in the world.
