This is a scuplt that I have been working on since last Wed. It was a WIP that I completed today and baked. Kinda burnt that feather on the top abit. Anyhow, it will be painted. It is about 3 inches tall and a concept for my Valkyrie character that I will turn into an 9 inch tall sculpt. I have abit of the body of that one done, but it really needs alot of work, I will maybe post that once I get it looking decent.

Here are the original pictures of the old one that was done in about 3 hours and destoyed later that night.

Now for the new and improved one. It took over about 12 + hour to complete, most of that with getting the shape of the head and proportions right. Thanks go out to all the great comments that helped improve the sculpt. Here are the pictures of the completed scuplt.

I've always thought sculpture to be an extension of drawing. Most sculptors are first excellent draftsmen (persons).
Your sculpt is good, in that it looks much like your initial drawing... but misses the mark for the same reason.
Your drawing skills are where you need work.
One simple solution might be to draw from all angles before beginnig the final sculpt. front, side, top, back...
Your sculpt is actually better than your drrawing.
Good Luck!

I like your sculpt - especially the face. I know how difficult faces are.

One thing about the hair: Hair doesn´t follow the neck-line, it just follows gravity - going straight down
I practice a lot of painting at the moment, and would suggest this site for tips of the trade:
