i've been taking process shots of this one. it started out as a goof while i was talking to hpx. for the natalie thread when i'm done with this one.
ok, here's the story. after mathilda is kicked out of her new school for trying to dig up the corpes of leon. she finds a robot leon designed while back in italy, you know, before he met that girl that lead to him killing, so yeah, he was 16 and he built a robot. fast foward many years, the robot is hit by lightning and given the mind of leon!
so leonbot finds mathilda and they both decide to come back to manhattan to settle unsettled business, mainly to kill more bad guys! but this time it's personal! and leon's a robot! and the plant is back! and he still insists mathilda drink milk!
and i swear i'm not drunk.

This could be really nice.
Try selling the story to hollywood - I hear theyre short of manuscripts (its at least as good as bessons 5th element script ;) )
Take care in making the metal - it should reflect some of the surrounding light!

The milk-glass is looking better and better :D
Im not sure Leon would make himself rust this much, I mean, the guy were a heaalth-freak and ate right and trained every day - he prolly would polish and oil himself every morning ;)
Good to see Ur taking this one up again, I cant wait to see it finished - its so wunderfully weird!!! :D

Its scary but the helpful side-kick robots of the future will probably look fairly similar to this...
As far as comments, I think the thing that is throwing the robot off (the main area for improvement) is that the arms are too short in proportion to the body, the human hands fall at about mid-thigh level and you might want to exaggerate that proportion for the robot - just for the sake of the concept.
Great face on the girl, though, and good move switching the hand holding the milk glass.

My suggestion is to put the same amount of work that you;ve put in her face into the rest of the image. And I hope the BG doesn't look like a photgraph when you're done, it'd kill it for me :(
Cool juxtaposition of tender girl and funky, clunky robot.
And another thing, stop noodling this! Post something when you have a significant change to show!
Good luck, it's looking great.
