I've just started painting some faces in Photoshop, and I really have no idea how to add any realism or anything to it. Are there any good tutorials out there that could possibly help me?

Draw what you see :) Get some references and try to copy them.

Set a round brush to Size: pen pressure, and Opacity: pen pressure :)

I guess you're trying to something like this http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs18/f/2007/135/2/4/First_Vector___BoA_by_createlisa.jpg
if that's what you're interested in it's called Vector Art (http://vector-art.blogspot.com). You may want to learn some basic adobe illustrator skills. you can visit this (http://vector-art.blogspot.com)page (tutorials , free resources and other stuff) \w/

This one popped up in another thread. Otherwise, nothing educates quite like studies do.
