Teen Challenge #31: Redesign your hero!

Ok giving out more refined instructions this time.
I thought this would be a fun topic to get the participation up.

The Rules:
Anyone ages 13-19 may submit an entry at any time before the deadline. Please host your image on a remote image-hosting site instead of uploading it to the CA server. This makes it much easier to transfer it to the poll thread.

The Topic:
Redesign your hero! (Male or Female)
This can be from any entertainment genre (i.e. Comic Books, Video Games, Movies, TV Shows, Toys, Books).
I don't want to see any redesigns of Chuck Norris or Arnold Schwarzenegger here guys unless of course your redesigning a Character they have played.

If you don't think anyone has heard of your hero please google an image of them and post it for comparason.

Try to give a creative spin off like redesigning Lara Croft as she would be in 16th Century France or steambot Optimus Prime with a drinking problem. Rather than giving giving your hero more muscles or laser beams attached to their heads.

Please add a small description or storyline. We don't want a five page essay but make it nice, brief, and to the point. Especially if there is something in your design which needs explaining.

Add a border around your image with your name and the topic, like they do with the other of the week challenges.

Now, when you say "hero," does that mean it actually has to be a hero or could it just be our hero? Because I'm considering Bender from Futurama and he's really more of an anti-hero.

Hm the time in which to complete these tasks has always been an issue...seems to change from 1 week to 2 weeks. This one has been given just over a week, personally thats enough time, and im not just saying this because i have mine up, ive always felt this way about every challenge. Id say a week is enough time to finish ANY piece of work, no matter what it is. Sorry if im sounding a bit harsh, but i think it should stick to the time allocated. But as always its open to debate...and as Evilsloth is the man in charge around these here parts...its up to him i guess...still looking forward to everyones entries.

Yea Goog it certainly is, i didn't realise how small the sketchbook was gonna be...those goku redesigns are like thumb size...does anyone know if you can get them in a large size?? Ok an extension is cool, ive took mine down for a rethinking...but yea i hope this extension brings lots of really good pics.

TLL, I find the tutorials on the ImagineFX magazines really helpful. I dont remember reading a tutorial on the internet so thats the only thing I can recommend.

Please make only one final for your idea.
As it is redesign your "hero" not "hero's".
You can do what Prophet did and show different aspects of your hero
but try and keep it to one redesign.

nothing was wrong with DBZ i loved it, just not as much anymore because A:they dont show it much anymore B:as i got older all the male moaning and groaning became disturbing :D lol C: i lost the story line, when they suddenly developed beyond sayans lol to super sayan, super sayan TWO!, SUPER SAYAN THREE!!, that gotenks guy with the FUSION thingy, the acctual dragonballs seemed to ..slip away from the story lol.

Kevzip- That is so awesomely disturbing...

Uggh, I've still got tons of work to do on it, but I thought I might as well post what i have. I decided to do a general redesign of Neil Gaiman's Sandman. It's just such a fantastic story I had to pay it some homage. There's also a slight story behind this redesign but it's not very important at all so I'll just post it later with my final.

Edit- Possible final? If I get some more crits or think of anythng else I'll change it, but this will do if I don't.

Now, I couldn't really think of a hero to redesign as I never really had any major heros, so after a long brainstorm I decided to use a Tim Burton character as I've always been a fan of his.

I picked one from an illustrated book of short stories of his called "The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy, and other stories", and chose the story of "Jimmy, the Hideous Penguin Boy", here's how he appears in the book http://histoiresfolles.joueb.com/images/penguin_boy_t.jpg
