something about the water bothers me though. cant really put my finger on it...so maybe its nothing. you caught the mood just right in this piece i think. great work

might be the scale? It doesn't diminish enough I think which is not making it look like real space...

couple of other things:

-the white highlites look like they're done with a square brush and its too
obvious. Also get rid of those 2 square strokes in the distance - the dark and
bright one - they look more like mistakes than intentional.
-the light can have a bit more color - a bit pasty at this point
-and those flying things in perspective - there really is no connection between
them and the main ship? What are they supposed to be? they seem like an
afterthought... but still a good tool to push distance
