I really want people that have actually participated in past dsgs to suggest ideas. The last thread seemed to be full of people that never did or were going to do dsg and suggested topics that just made me gag at times..

Hi. Brand new member here. This looks like a very cool forum and I hope to contribute to develop some skills.

On the ideas I liked the dune/landscape idea... why not describe a basic environment and have people submit their visions of what type of extreme creatures live there with their unique adaptations.

For example I have an idea for a (book/film/game?) cooking in my head for about a year and one of the sections on this planet is a large dry ocean. Currently it is desert like but many animals show evidence of their aquatic ancestors. So there are large tree-like animals that are more closely related to tube anemones, sub-sand 'angler fish' with lures that look like plants and so on....

Maybe....

Planet [Name] - Transportation

i say to get more of a better range of art use topics that allow us to use more of our imagination. You can even have it so we explain what we did. The topic could be as simple as design a character and after we post our picture we give a description on what we drew and what the character does. Or better yet give a vague descrpition of a vehicle wand its purpose without saying weather or not its a land sea or air vehicle. this waymore of the artist creativity would be able to come out

Also we might have something like 'the gods' and 'superheroes' and this could be anything from mythological 'gods of Olympus' to some modern gods or superheroes based on current events or culture.

Add one more.... why not also consider posting a starting image and see what people can do with it. For example post a simple line drawing of the President's head and everyone has to do a picture that somehow uses that head. I'm not an artist yet but I do understand that you often have to make stuff for clients that may inlude elements the want like logos and so on that wouldn't be your personal choice; so the excercise might be useful in that regard as well.

I've been thinking about my ideal workstation and I have a few sketches down. If you could design your ideal place to create and spend your time every day... what would it be? Leave out the reality of expenses. Imagine no financial restraints whatsoever.

My main sketch has 4 computers w/ dual monitors, a space for the tablet, a lightbox that doubles as a regular desk/drawing area... and plenty of room for the printers and scanner. Not to mention a sound system that will make your cat piss as soon as you hit play.


All I need now is a place for the tapper for the beer and a nearby urnal.

Also.. a suggestion. What if this were a weekly topic where a similar theme was kept for the week for example. A western cowboy..saloon..american indan..western gun fight scene..etc etc western theme based. Each week would keep the same theme with different daily subjects. That might get people thinking more about the subject matter and also allow for multiple pieces that relate to each other on a similar theme.

-Greek gods/goddesses/war heroes/or one of their sexy wives (someone else mentioned this too)

-I think we need some more vehicle ones both future and sci-fi/fantasy. I would also be cool if we did a modern car, where everyone takes their favorite car, or any car and supes it up. I dont know a whole lot about cars, but i thought it was a good idea.

Here is an idea, until it gets fixed you could do a temp-DSG in the Sketches section, just do something like this.

STart a list here like so:

each of you sign up for a date (just your name next to date), post your topic in sketches on said day under something like "TempDSG 1-05 Gelatinous housing" or whatever the subject may be. I noticed most are posted around 2am that day. (central)

The idea of putting the name of the person choosing the topic is great, so you won't know till that day what the subject is, could just do this until the real dsg is fixed :)

If its something you really really want that is, so you don't get your withdrawl.

laughs, I know what you are prob complaining but you will forgive me because I have the bestest pussy in the world that you'd like even if I didnt wash it for a month, this one went wrong though:

because she was originally kept there for the clan leader of the vietnamese village, this big hairy king kong type of man-with 3 feet long sideburns to enjoy- only happened to come accross this village by accident and since he is so manly man any even trace of smell of a woman would make those curly body hairs jump straight from instant anticipation, but in this case, I forgot to mention that the hut she (the geisha) is staying was also partly collapsed and injured her so she has been collapsed for several days and has not been able to do her hygiene thing-and what was the use even now that all the other people are dead ? So anyways she is smelling more fishier than ever which is probably what (as the king kong type of man likes to call it destiny because he is very religious man and has "nobel" character trying to hide his animalistic desires constantly feeling catolic quilt about it therefore despite of his primal instincts fiercely running beneath the gentlemanly behaviour he is all gentle giant in the social circles) lead the king kong type of man to the village at first place
