I hope this is the right place!

I recently got a new laptop with Vista, though there are some aggrivations, the only one you cant fix is the incompatable hardware problems, and of course, my nip keyboard being weird.

So anyways, i have a choice, Intuos3 or Graphire 4 size is not a matter, but graphire is optimized for Vista while Intuos just runs "decently" but i still have no clue what the big differences are, other than style and size limits, does anyone have a good opinion on what works for 2d concept art? they both get the job done, but why is graphire so much cheaper, and why does Intuos have so much extra hardware?

The more expensive one has better pressure sensitivity and other features you can can find on their website. You won't notice much unless your style requires precision.

BTW, you ever consider a tabletPC or Cintiq where you can actually write on the screen. I've been using one for awhile now and I simply love it. Haven't touch my regular tablets for long time because of it. Also, the tabletPCs aren't all that expensive either these days.

lol, theres no tablet ( from wacom ) that works more or less good for drawing/painting/conceptart/illustration/whatsoever... Andrew ley had or have an a6 graphire ( I think it was graphire ) while m@ have a cintiq 21UX

Both those artists makes kick-ass art.

Go with what you have in your wallet. I use an wacom Intuos 3 a4 on vista, and
the only problem is vista itself...

Ah thank you much, and yes Chazanoble I would love to have a tablet pc, or a Cintiq (beautiful piece of hardware) but i simply cannot afford anything past a refurbished fujitsu, and i have had problems with refurbished items, used to work for NEW we had constant calls from angry people because the refurbished item was crap :( Im hoping to soon get enough for one, but right now a job is hard to find here, and my development work is entirely free, though a wacom will allow me to color my works fitting for merch that i can sell, till then, i must rely on my current funds, but the states are nice to me, and i can get cheap food from sams club! hopefully though, ill get somthing nicer soon, i just am having trouble, this new computer was a toll, and set me back alot of money.

Art now a days is expensive :\
plus being old fashoned is hard to adapt to computer art, haha

So thanks many good wishes Chazanoble, Dile_
