CA Change -- 30 posts per Page

Hello everyone, i have just made a change in the structure of CA in hopes to relieve some of the bandwidth issues that ca has(yes we are aware of them).

The posts per page count was 60, and is now 30.

This change will double the amount pages in large threads.

This reason for the change was that some sketchbooks were just being filled with images per page that it caused a lot of loading to get to the lower posts.

hopefully this will make threads with large image counts be easier on the bandwidth of the users... and possibly on ca itself.

I think the admins can't force this. If you have changed the Post Count defaults in your User CP preferences, it will remain the number of posts you asked for.

Yup, but if people are like me, they don't spend a whole lot of time making sure their post count is set to some huge number... this way the majority of us will have the new default (if we kept our setting to forum default)

Holy hell, it sure did trip me out this morning to go onto my 5-page sketchbook and find that it is now ten pages long. For a second I was wondering if someone had spammed me five pages worth of posts.:spam::x

ah,i was wondering too why i had 10 pages suddenly,but i think it's a really good change. (no timeouts so far).
the only downside is i'll be thinking i've worked really much when i haven't :D

I think you have enabled the option "60 posts per page" in your user CP instead of "use forum default". That way when you're logged in you get 60 posts per page and when you're logged out 30. That's what happens to me :P and I keep getting logged out when I didn't click the log out thingy :P

I put it back on 60 posts per page in my user CP just because I like seeing most of the art in one page. Especially while browsing other people's sketchbooks I just want to see all the pages, so it really doesn't matter if I browse in 30 or 60 posts per page because I was going to view everything anyway.. Or am I wrong here Davi?

haha, Marleen, so set in your ways. That's the beauty of it. While you like 60 pages, I'm kinda stoked on 30 pages, and we can both enjoy our preferences, and still look at the same art.
The only thing that sucks is that I got all excited to hit page 4 the night before the change, so now my post that says "woot for page 4" is on page.... 7 i think. haha. s'all fun and games anyhoo.
