1)

Disclaimer : I *think* I saw a thread about this some time ago but I'm not sure it was on ConceptArt.Org... I tried to make a search for it but couldn't find anything...

Does this happends to anyone else ? As soon as I Right-Click-'save as' an image from the net, Internet Explorer wants to save it as "untitled.bmp". And it DOES save it as a bitmap ! Even if the source is hoogabooga.jpg it'll still convert it as a bmp and slap 'untilted' as a name by default.
I figured rebooting might kick some sense into IE. Alas, no joy. Anyone managed to resolve that issue in an easy fashion ?

2)

I have win2kSP2 and a intuos2 6x8 here. If I move my stylus over the top of the sensitive area (where the quick buttons are), the tablet seems to freeze. The only way to resolve this is to restart the computer. When I restart, the last thing I see is the little number icon corresponding to the quick button that's been hovered over.
Odd isn't it ? Anyway, despite having the latest drivers it keeps happening. I was wondering if anyone else had this happening.

Cheers :)

the bmp thing happens to me quite a bit also, i think i've heard clearing your cache in ie then reboot might help, im not so sure if it does tho.

about the wacom, i have no idea, mabye try switching back to older drivers. or dont use that bar at the top..:)
i know on my wacom, the pressure buttons at top dont work, it just ends up screwing it all up.

i'm not sure what the problem is, but... sometimes my intuos2 just stops dithering, whatever my lines. like the sensitivity is gone. so it's just a solid line, no matter how hard or soft my strokes are.

Other times, i'd press a button on one of the tool panels in photoshop, like... the layers options menu, or the lasso tool, whatever. and then, it'd stick. like as if i was still holding the stylus down. puill it away from the tablet and nothing. i have to unclick it with the mouse.

dog chewed up my stylus, though...thanks bud. really appreciate it.

Other times, my tablet would magically convert to mouse mode, and the sensitivity setting would be gone.

Wacoms would be fun if they a) didn't force you to keep them because you spent $400 on them, or b) weren't so damned awesome when they worked that you put up with them not working.

I cleared out my cache files and that seemed to do the trick :)

Thank you so much everyone. Clearing the cache and all temp internet files seems to have done the trick ! I like it when problems have such simple solutions.. :nana:

Stephen: sorry to hear your top buttons went bonkers.. I might try to switch back to older drivers just for the heck of it but prolly just will end up not using those top buttons. and tape a mini faraday cage over them so it doesn't crash the tablet or something :D

bizarre : those problems might be related to the dog chewing the stylus... Feed that poor thing ! ;)

Once again, thank you lots !
