Scanner or Digital Camera?

i was just wondering if i should get a scanner or a digital camera? i figure i should just get a digital camera that way i'd be able to take pictures and also maybe post some of my stuff on here. but would the quality be as good? And it wouldnt be as easy to edit stuff in photoshop, or would it? this isnt really something i know alot about so any suggestions, comparisons, etc. would be greatly appreciated

If you want to have good quality and use the pictures for working do yourself a favor and get a scanner first. The quality is much better and even with a cheap one you can immediately have decent results. A camera is o.k. if you just want to take a picture to show it in the net. For working it isn´t normally good enough.
