New Here...

Well, I've been poking around this page for a long time now, greatly intrigued, but felt it way out of my league to get involved. Recently, however, my mentor/instructor at college referred me here with recommendation, and told me I just need to get involved more... so, here I am. Not sure what's protocol and what not, where I should be posting, the general purpose of this site to those with little skill like me (but aspiring to make something out of it eventualy), and the like.

So, I'll just start by saying hello and here is my latest sketch!

I like your creature. I know he's fictional and all, but his arm/shoulders seem on the small side. Interesting textures and nice design around his head.
