This is my first post here. I'm not terribly concerned with giving this guy a background yet... I mainly just want to hone my very dull digital painting skills, but any comments or critique would be nice.

check the angles on his face. it seems like his head is tilted down based on the location of the ears and the really large forehead area, but then his nose and mouth look like they're being viewed straight-on.
are you using the smudge tool?

Xazy's crit was spot on, I don't even think you'd be able to see the mouth from the angle his head is at, just the top sliver of his nose. Go find a cat and look at it for a bit.
If you really want to improve your painting skills:

Also, try to get some traditional painting in. A surprising number of techniques carry over (in various ways).

Yeah there is definietly something going on with the head, it could be the angle or it could be the size..too small?
PEACE OUT...8)

Yeah, that is a little funky... I am trying to alter it a bit from a straight cat's face into something more hybrid, but I do notice the weirdness now that you mention it. Thanks.
I'ma put a rework up next time I have a chance to work on it.
