Standard Market Rate for Artwork

Hi guys.

I have started an artist company that specialize in receiving contracts etc for artwork. My partners are asking what should be a reasonable rate in the US market, for example. These are the things that have inquired:

1. 2D character concept
2. 3D character models
3. Movement and animanation

Rates in other countries would be appreciated too to make sure that we remain competitive in terms of cost. The aim is to have a better idea on how we should charge so that we don't undercharge or overcharge.

By the sound of it, no one in your company has any industry experience, this is going to make everything harder. You might want to look at the reference about pricing thread in my signature, it doesn't have the exact rates you are looking for, but it has ways to calculate them and sources for such rates.
