character concept: dragon knight

not exactly my first painting, but I havent been digital painting very long...

this is a fantasy drawing I sketched a few years ago and decided to use as a test subject in photoshop to teach myself some painting techniques.

I may paint a background later but for now I say its finished..

I think the metal affect is achieved best on the pauldrons, they're got a great weather-whipped and battle-beaten lok to them. I think it perhaps doesn't work as well on the cuirass 'cause the lighting seems a bit inconsistent. The texture of the cape is really good, although the uniform ripples bug me slightly. The dynamics of the helmet plume are great IMO. Keep it up, tiger.

my goal was mostly just to learn technique, so I dont think I rendered any part of this in the same way as another..lol

nice work..just work on puttin a bit more colour in...its a bit dull..and detail could be added in too...but then ur good at this, and can only get better..:) so keep doin it

There are some slight problems with your figure.

Both wrists are oddly placed, in particular the one holding the lance.

Also, her waist is too narrow to be feminine, especially given the armour over top of it.

I love the mask though.
