Hi there, I'm an illustrator for a lot of D20 rpg's. I've been doing mainly B&W stuff for the last couple years, but I'm trying to expand into doing more color work. Here's a piece I did for my portfolio to show off at Wizard World Chicago this year. C&C's welcome.

This is a really nice piece. The rendering of the archer is great.

I like how the buildings direct us towards the middle, but the guns throw me off. I don't know the time period of the piece?
The clouds, sky, and the moon dont look finished, when compared to the rest of the piece.

I really like the piece, but I think it needs those small changes I mentioned above. ;)

Thx for sharing Tyler. What I see here is definitely more than just an attempt into color work. green Arrow was one of my favs when I was younger and you do him justice. I'm impressed by the way you managed with the different light sources.

bravo. :chug:

very nicely rendered, looks like a trading card :) a suggestion, maybe darkening up the guns in the forground to make them pop out.

The clouds is a little smudgy I find, perhaps you could even give some hard edge to it around some of the corners. I find the buildings and the guns being a little too symetrical in the composition. The moon could even blend in abit more with a little more texture. The archer is very nicely rendered. Great!

Thanks all for the feedback. The late reply is due to my out-of-town-ness.

Yeah, I need to spend some time polishing up the background and guns, I rushed those a little bit due to time constraints. I'll post an update soon. Thanks again!

Oh, I.was.ink, Green Arrow is a modern day super hero from DC comics. He's all green, and...um, arrowy? Yup, he fights crime with a bow and arrow.
