Derelict Planet

This is an illustration I did a while back of remote probes searching the surface of a planet for signs of life. Obviously these aren't satellite probes, the operators are on the planet.

I like the color and the composition, but I find the digital impasto effects distracting.

Elwell: Thanks for your comment. I painted this with a program called Artrage. Those strokes are sort of inherent to the program. I didn't find them distracting, myself, so I just left them in.
