Hope this is not a re-post. Here are some pictures of Batman's bike for the sequel. I am actually looking forward to the sequel after seeing Batman Begins.

Cool.
Batman Begins was amazing, got high hopes for this.

ditto Flake. It really set the bar for how to make a super hero film. Not even the new Superman film - with which there is not much wrong per se - is competent (imho).
Looking forward to this, very high hopes!

where does he get such wonderful toys... cool pic lets hope its as good as the first one, really glad they went the dark Fank Miller type route and not the campy route.
I still like Burton's attempts at Batman looking back they were so out there and stylised. But Nolan's reworking is cool too.

The new batsuit seems a little too hi-tech for me, not so gloomy as the usual.
For the bike, i dont know why but the fact that a bike has a huge tire makes it more cooler:D

Logical progression of technology. The man can actually turn his head without rotating his whole torso and he doesn't have to run in straight lines anymore;) The Joker looks awesome and it'll be interesting seeing Scarecrow come back and at the end the creation of 2 Face.

I really like Burton's/Elfmans Batman too. I don't think it was over stylised - I think he managed to capture the grim, dark and gothic feel of Gotham City and Batman. I like Batman Begins though too, it was very Frank Miller'ish. Hope the sequal doesn't go the campy route as someone else mentioned. I would hate to see another set of batman movies get destroyed like Joel Schumaker did with the last two original batman films :nohope: .

Yeah Tim Burton knew how to get that bombastic grim mood of gotham pretty good with his typical gray-blue color palette.
same thing with Nolan's work, those sepia colors give it a retro-dark feel.
A batman movie needs something like that.
I hated the futuristic-flashy color style of Joel Schumacher.
that bike looks cool but also it looks impossible to steer.
looking forward for the movie and "the concept art of the dark knight"

No, it's Heath Ledger. The explanation for the smile is that he was cut along the edge of his mouth towards his ear and that's all scar tissue from when it was done.

I'm really happy that Chris Nolan is doing such a great job with the reboot. As a heads up that last shot is a stunt costume and isn't a 'hero' costume.

the costume is a yawn at best. in the designers defense its hard to make this costume serious....at least it doesnt have nipples like some of the older ones.
while i loved "batman begins" i had to laugh when the "i'm batman" line eventualy comes
i wish they were more brave with the rediesign its realy still to close to the burton version ///the bike and the car are dope though!
and even cristian bale looks silly with a rubber angryface on.

This will be great. If Nolan pulls this off as he did with Begins, it will be the best of the new superhero-movies. He just keeps the acting on a high level, whereas all the other movies (Transformers to name the latest one) are driven by one-liners and great effects.

I don't think that costume looks all that different from the one in Batman Begins. They should just have him in a cloth costume like they do in the comics.
If memory serves someone made a short film with Batman in a cloth suite fighting the Joker and then fighting alien and predator. They only showed it at comicon and I never actually got to see it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about can they post it so I don't sound like I'm crazy.

the problem with a cloth costume is when batman goes up against someone with a gun.
from what i remember didnt batman have armor under his costume, but it was more just something they said, not something they showed cause it would be hard to do
also in this batman trilogy, each movie is going to show batman in a more comic like appearence, this costume is a lot more fabric with some armor on it, as opposed to the last film where he was in a full suit.
i just read on aintitcool.com that theres going to be a 6 story anime coming out strait to dvd about the time between begins and the dark knight. like animatrix style. should be sweet

In Frank Miller's Dark Knight Batman does wear some type of bullet proof vest. He explains that the bat symbol on his chest is like a target to draw gunfire towards the vest and not his head.
